Dr. Allen E. Young
Dr. Young is Professor of Business at the University College of the Cayman Islands (UCCI). He has been working at the UCCI since 2006. Dr. Young has served the University as Department Chair and Dean of Academic Affairs for eleven years and has been involved in successful program development and implementation at the UCCI. He teaches a plethora of courses at the Associate, Bachelor and Graduate levels. Prior to moving to the Cayman Islands to work at UCCI he worked at DeVry University in Atlanta, Georgia and was Senior Professor when he left in 2006.
Dr. Young has had a close connection with IS/IVCF since his early days at the Munnings High School in Westmoreland, Jamaica. While studying at the College of Arts, Science and Technology (CAST) in Jamaica he served on the executive of CAST IVCF. After University, he served on the financial committee of the National Movement in Jamaica where he supported the “project 500”. In addition, Dr. Young served as the first sponsor of an IS/IVCF group at Campion College between 1978-1980.
Dr. Young presently serve on two other boards, the Northwestern Caribbean Baptist Theological Seminary (NCBTS) and the New Beginning Pentecostal Church in Grand Cayman. Most recently, he completed a Masters in Theological Studies (MTS) from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He has been a Christian for over 40 years and has been a part of the movement for nearly 50 years. Dr. Young is married to Grace and has two grown children: Joel and Joanna and two grandchildren, Genesis and Alliyana.
